Advanced Placement Program

The Merced Union High School District is proud to participate and offer courses through the College Board's Advanced Placement program. The Advanced Placement program exposes students to college-level work and provides them the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.

The MUHSD offers Advanced Placement courses in Art, Computer Science, English, Mathematics, Music, Science, Spanish, and Social Studies. Please refer to the MUHSD Course Catalog to view which courses are offered on each of our campuses.

The Advanced Placement program at MUHSD will attract a diverse pool of motivated, academically prepared learners, and provide rigorous courses to develop integrated, transferable knowledge and skills for future academic and career success.

 

Mission of MUHSD AP Program

MUHSD’s Advanced Placement program will attract a diverse pool of motivated, academically prepared students by providing support structures to help them succeed in an extensive selection of rigorous and relevant college-level coursework. Students will grow into confident learners by developing integrated, transferable analytical and critical thinking skills, creative problem-solving, effective communication and collaboration skills, and significant content knowledge to equip them for future academic and career success.
